Instructor Bios

 

Katrina Williams Brunner (Director) is an award-winning director and choreographer with over 20 years of experience teaching theatre arts. She holds a B.A. in Theatre and Drama from UW Madison and a teaching certification in English and Theatre Arts from Edgewood College. She has numerous theatre credits in the Madison area including CTM’s A Wonderful Life, Little Women (choreography) and CTM’s Summer Drama School’s Once Upon a Mattress and Annie (directing). She directed Four Seasons Theatre’s production of Follies featuring Tom Wopat and choreographed West Side Story , and Thoroughly Modern Millie. At UW Theatre she choreographed Hello Dolly and Guys and Dolls. In the Chicago area she worked as a director and choreographer with Porchlight MusicTheatre, Light Opera Works, Theatre Wit and The Savoyaires. Her work on Porchlight’s Company earned her a Jeff Citation for Outstanding Choreography in 2003. She has worked with several area high schools as a choreographer and director. She is currently the drama director at Edgewood High School.  Her 2010 production of Anything Goes and 2011 production of Hairspray earned 11 Tommy Awards for excellence in high school musical theatre. She founded The Theatre School to encourage dedicated young people to study the craft of theatre.
